Bloomsburg Men's Soccer Downs Millersville

MILLERSVILLE - The Bloomsburg University men's soccer team defeated Millersville 3-1 in a Wednesday evening Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) match-up.

Millersville took an early 1-0 lead on an unassisted goal by Jake Wooleyhan. However, the Huskies knotted the score at one apiece with a goal by Chris Tomarelli (Oreland/Springfield) off of an assist from Jared Ferriera (Newton, NJ/Newton) at the 21 minute mark. Bloomsburg added another goal eight minutes later, this one by John Brittingham (Stockton, MD/Pocomoke) assisted by Dan Beshore (Mt. Wolf/Northeastern) and the Huskies lead 2-1 at the half.

In the second period, the Huskies added an insurance goal from Brian Darby (Doylestown/Central Bucks East) and held on for the 3-1 win.

For Millersville (3-12-2), Steven Bloss had two saves while Jon Keller (Clarks Summit/Abington Heights) got the win in goal for the Huskies (3-13-1), also saving two shots.

Bloomsburg will wrap up the 2006 season on Saturday hosting Slippery Rock at Sports Stadium in a 3:30 start.
